My Velvet Dream Obsession

I’m telling you guys that the 90s style trends are coming back! Sometimes I wish some of the trends will never ever come back! However, there is one trend I’m super obsessed with is the “velvet on velvet” style, especially from head to toe! If you ladies are crazy about velvet like me then the “Velvet on velvet” look is for you. I’m pretty sure you ladies are beginning to see this new fad spreading around on social media and also in major shopping department stores. This style is also perfect to wear for the holidays occasions! And the holidays seasons is around the corner!

Here is my own “velvet on velvet” inspirations:

I bought this matching black velvet top and black velvet pants at Nordstrom Rack. I thought it would be cool to wear the top and bottom together because if you ladies look the pictures my outfit looks like a jumpsuit. Did I mentioned my pants has pockets?!?!  I also wore a red blazer to add a pop of color to my wardrobe. By the way this outfit was so comfy!! 🙂

This outfit include the same velvet pants, however I just switch out my top and blazer. Instead I wore a navy lace camisole and a grey blazer. I also change my shoes game too! I wore my Marc Fisher silver tassel loafer.

The “Little Black Dress”

It’s Friday everyone! I have a quick styling tip for you ladies for tonight! I’m pretty sure some of you ladies will have last minute plans for tonight and probably have no ideas what to wear. If you can’t find anything in your closet, then a “little black dress” is always a great option to wear!!!

3 quick tips of complete your whole look:

1.)  Add accessories to your outfit

2.) Makeup tip: Add a bold lip color on your lips and to enhance the eyes you can add a classic wing eyeliner.

Lastly 3.) let your hair down!! And remember to be fierce ladies!!!

Here is my “little black dress” inspiration:

Floral Print Jumpsuit

I never thought I could ever pull off wearing a jumpsuit. I’m only 5 feet tall! Like I said I never thought I could wear jumpsuits because I was afraid I was too short to wear these attires. Until now….Thank you for cropped jumpsuits!!! The lengths fits perfectly on me! (Yes I know I can shorten the pants length to make them cropped but I’m too lazy…) haha

(Style by me)

I found this gorgeous floral print jumpsuit at Marshalls. I love the flower patterns and the bright pink accent on this garment! It’s too cute!! Guess how much I bought them for?!?!!! This cost only $19.99!!! I want more of these jumpsuits! I’m  telling you guys Marshalls always have major deals, including on designers!!!  I’m pretty sure it’s not going to be my last trip to Marshall for this summer. It’s only the beginning. I can tell you all that I received many compliments when I  wore this jumpsuit to work.

Feeling Funky Today!!!

Today, I decided to pull out my black spiked sneaker wedges from Aldo. I haven’t worn these pairs in years! At first it was hard for me to put together an outfit because I was being indecisive with my style choices. I couldn’t set my mind up! I literally sat on my bed for half an hour , staring blank at my closet.. Finally! I decided what I want to wear for work today. To paired up my spiked wedges,  I picked up a casual black midi skirt from Forever21, a light grey sweater sleeves crop top from H&M, and my favorite black and red plaid shirt.

For my makeup choices for today, I decided to go light on the makeup then accentuate my lips with  a pop of color and darken my eyebrows. I used Luxe Lip color from Bobbi Brown and the lip color was called “Parisian Red”.

I was definitely feeling funky today. And since it is Friday.. why not have FUN! I hope you guys like my outfit inspiration!

Hello Everyone!!!! I’m BACKKKK!!!!

I know I know It has been a while since a wrote my latest post. I have to be honest I had a couple of step backs and also was going through some personal thing over the last year, which is why I haven’t been inspired to write. Don’t worry I am back now, since today is Chinese and Vietnamese New Year, why not start over? I want to move forward with my life and  start over with a fresh clean plate. My goal for this year is to discover and create new memories & adventures and find more muses and inspirations to write about.

I decided to do a collaboration with a good friend of mine, Kahlil Martinez. He is a terrific photographer. I’m always amazed and inspired by his work and talent.  We decided to set up a quick photo shoot something fashion based to overlap with my blog site. So we decided to do a city shoot in Downtown Hartford around Pratt street and City Hall. The inspirations behind the shoot was to take place somewhere outside in the city, in a urban setting and for my part was to pick out a few of outfits and style to showcase something relating to the “beginning of the winter season for fashion trend”. We wanted to stay with a solid theme so that I can write a few blogs about this shoot.

I live in the Northeast and  sometime it can be difficult for me to find outfits to wear without freezing my butt when I walk outside in the freezing air and snow. There was a point of time where I used to get tired of seeing other girls wear tight-fitting crop tops and tight pencil skirts with slits. I want to show other fashion divas that there are other outfit options to look chic and sexy instead of wearing tight and revealing crop tops and pencil skirts with slits. So I decided to selected a couple of outfits to show ways how to make comfy and loose clothing can look chic and sexy for a perfect outfit of the day look. I want to give the idea that I can look fashionable or trendy without having to put a lot of thoughts and efforts because we were shooting around Hartford and the shoot fits with the theme. So I picked out a pair of my light-washed destroyed boyfriend jeans, my must have leopard faux fur vest, a white over-sized sweater, my boyfriend flannel button up, and a pair of my black suede zipped up booties. I decided to paired my red envelope clutch and neon clutch with my outfits and accessories with my gold bracelets and necklace and my gold Michael Kors watch.

The #Floppyhat Trend

image

I have found my new obsession…I’m obsessed and in love with the retro-inspired “floppy hat’ trend! This fashion trend dates back in the 70’s. My “phashion” prediction for 2015 is retro-inspired floppy hats will be everywhere on the runways during Spring 2015 Fashion Week for fashion designers. Floppy hats will be a MUST HAVE item for the Spring and Summer! “Phasionistas” and celebrities have been wearing these type of hats in 2014, so Floppy hat trend will continue to be saturated everywhere around the world. And I’m okay with that!!
