My First Cruise Trip to The Bahamas

I recently went on an exhilarating carribean cruise trip with my boyfriend and his family to the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. We chose the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. This was our first cruise trip. The cruise ship we boarded on was called ” Majesty of The Sea”.   I was very happy we chose “Majesty of The Sea”! My family and I did everything we could in just a few short days on 4- and 5 nights getaways that include other favorite destinations like Nassau, Bahamas and CocoCay. My family and I never been anywhere around the Caribbean nor traveled anywhere international. This whole trip has been very memorable and also this has been one of my best vacation ever

Every morning I would try my best to wake up early to watch the sunrise. When I do wake up early, watching the sunrise is the most beautiful thing I ever seen. Sometime I have to pinch myself because Everything I am observing is just a Dream, but all of this is real!! No way!!!

My boyfriend and I explored around the ship. The ship looks so elegant and magnifcant. The atmosphere on the ship was positive and had a uplifting energy. All of the staffs were very friendly and welcoming during our stay. Everyone on the ship from the staffs and to all the tourists seemed so happy to be on this ship.

Things to do on the ship

The Food is always available 24/7!!! Breakfast, Lunch & dinner is provided in the “windbreaker dining hallv from 6:30am until 12:30pm.” Did I mentioned the food is all you can eat buffet!!! They have different type of cuisines every day and night. My family and I ate in this dining hall at least 5 times a day. We normaly pay a visit to the dining hall every time after we finish our activity whether if we finished tanning out by the pool or swimming in the pool.

• There are two clubs and few other adult lounges for late night events and dance parties.
• There is a gym and a spa. I wish I had more time because I didn’t have the chance to go check the spa.
• There is a rock climbing wall and a basketball court.
• There’s two different theatre room for live comedy shows and other live performers.
• During the evening, movies are being played on the top deck. I watched Coco and Batman the Dark Knight.
• There was also a deck reserved specially for kids and teens. And also there were daily activities for younger kids and teens to participate in.

Drinking all day long is a must! My boyfriend and I picked the duluxe beverage package, which include alcohol, juices, smoothies, sodas, and water. Every day my boyfriend and I would have at least five different cocktails and two smoothies.



Try all of the signature drink of the day. The drinks were refreshing and yummy! The peach and mango daquiri were my favorite! I had one every day! My boyfriend and I ordered so many drinks to the point the bartenders starting to know our signature go- to drinks!

I love being outside in the sun! After I come back from my adventures. I would go swimming in the pool or go tanning. I had a mango smoothie in one hand, listening to the music playing from the background, while I soak up the sun. This is an awesome way to have fun in the sun! I am a totally different person when I’m surrounding myself in paradise. All of my stress and worries went away. I tried my best to unplugged myself from reality and just relaxed.

There are always some type of activities going on by the pool. I witnessed a belly flopp contest and wet t-shirt contest. It was the funniest thing ever!

The Fine Dining Experience: My boyfriend, his family and I would go to the Starlight Restaurant most of the nights for dinner.  We all ate 3 course meals, which include an appetizer, a main signature entire, and a desserts. All of the cuisines were delicious and delightful! The best part is we could order more if we want to!!! Our waiter, Nicholas was very knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. He shared some of his personal stories with us. Nicholas made sure my family and I have the best dinner experience as possible. He also made sure he treated us like his own family. He gave a lot of recommendations on different type of appetizers, entire options, and wine suggestions that we should tried. We were satisfied we listened to Nichola’s suggestions. We walked out the restaurant every time feeling overly stuffed and happy!

Nassau, Bahamas “Blue Lagoon Isand”

My boyfriend and his family and I visited Nassau, Bahamas and Coco Cay. We went to a private island in Nassau called ” Blue Lagoon Island.” The Blue Lagoon Island is located 5 Km from Nassau, Bahamas and serves as a loal tourist attraction. This private island is now provides secluded beaches for visitors and natural habitats for the dolphins and sea lions of Dolpins Encounters.  In order for us to get to Blue Lagoon we took a ferry. The ride took about 20 minutes to get to the island. The captain was also very entertaining, he was singing and dancing on the ferry. We passed Huge celebrities homes of Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Beyonce, and etc and it makes me wonder how often these celebrities actually use their homes.

The water in and around Nassau is gorgeous and offers a multiple spectrum of blue, teal and turquoise. Once we landed on this island, on the left side of the island where there seems to be an endless number of beach chairs in a vert shallow lagoon type area. On the right side of the island, there are somewhat private VIP beach with cabanas, comfy lounge chairs, hammocks, a bar and an area where you can get a buffet lunch.

We walked across a wooden bridge and we saw an area where there is a dolpin enclosure, a stingray enclosure, and a seal lion enclosure. We all chose different enclosures. My boyfriend and I picked the dolphin enclosures. We wanted to interact with dolphins!

I can definitely cross off swimming with dolphins from my bucket list! These dolphins are playful and friendly. My boyfriend and I met Shawn the Dolphin. Shawn was adorable and vert intelligent. He also has a uplifting personality and a loving spirit! Shawn could dance and performed amazing tricks. I swear this loving dolphin and I sweared a moment together. Shawn also photo-bomed us and stole a kiss in one of our picture.

Coco Cay Island

We visited another private island called Coco Cay, Bahamas or Little Stirrup Cay. It is used exclusively for tourism by Royal Caribbean Cruises Line. Coco Cay is one of the Berry Islands, a collection of cays and small islands and is located approximately 55 miles north of Nassau. Technically, we can not walk to the island directly from our cruise ship. To go ashore, we had to take a tender boat. Tenders are small boats used by the cruise lune for transportation when a ship is unable to dock. The ride over to the island is only 15 minutes. starting in June 2018, ships will be able to dock at the new pier being built, so tendering will be no longer needed after June 2018.

It was an amazing experience for my family and I.  The water was warm and the people were very friendly. It is a beautiful island surrounding by crystal clear and the most bluest water I ever had seen. My family and I rented our own private cabana. It was amazing! We had all sort of amenities, such as complementary shuttle transfer, lounge chairs, floating bar, beach beds, drink specials, and complementary lunch.  I absolutely love Royal Carribean and I love their private island.

I witnessed some of the most beautiful sceneries that mother nature has ever created. I swam in the most clearest and bluest body of water. I can’t believe I could see my feet in the water!

I had so much fun on “Majesty of the Sea.” Since this was my first cruise trip I would rate this ship as an 8. There were a few minors things I would change. I would love to plan another cruise trip again with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line! This whole trip has been very memorable and also this has been one of my best vacation ever! Can’t wait to plan another one soon!!
