Fall Trend: Dark Romance

Summer is almost over..The weather is getting cooler… The temperature is going down..Everyone is heading back to school from elementary school to college and universities…which means one thing, Fall is coming!! When Fall is coming, which mean new fashion, styles, and trends will be coming out! Also New York Fashion Week is coming soon :D!  One of the trends for this fall is…..DARK ROMANCE!

Dark Romance is a mysterious and moody trend. This fall trend combines with tough elements such as leather and hardware with wispy, flowing fabrics and touches of color. Velvets and lace are an obsession! And is everywhere during this fall! While we all are starstruck and glamorize Gothic with religious symbolism seen in prints and embroidery. This fall trend, you have the choice to go dark & dreamy at the same time. This is called “fantasy League.”

To nail this dark romantic/ Gothic trend, here are some few tips:

This dress is vintage-inspired floral print is accentuated by its body-con silhouette. It features a knee-length hemline and long sleeve, making this perfect to address the fall temperature like for a chilly evening with no need to fuss over a small sweater. To emphasize the length of the dress we could pair the piece with tall, strappy heels and hair can be pulled back in a pony tail or a nice full bon to show off the round neckline. This dress can be found anywhere and prices may vary by the places you shop at. This dress is from Forever 21, $22.80.

Accessories are always important when it comes to completing our wardrobes. Like this beautiful turquoise, jeweled bib necklace from Kate Spade. This is on sale for $99, regular price is $255. Bib necklaces can emphasize and complement well with dark and moody colors and  tough elements like leather and hardware. The price may be vary depend where we purchase the necklace.

High waisted gorgeous lace maxi skirt with a high front slit and a half slip. Scalloped eyelash lace trim, hidden back zipper. This type of maxi skirt is popular for the fall. The lace and the high front slit give an edgy and romantic look. This piece we could pair with black crop top or black tank top, black leather jacket, and black-heeled booties. We could never go wrong with a nice pair of high-rise skinny, floral-printed jeans Like this high-waist jean from 7 For All Mankind.  This jeans in full bloom bring fresh-picked pretty to your denim roundup.

Earrings are one of the most important pieces when it comes to accessorizing. Like these pair of chandeller earrings featuring cutout floral accents. High polish finish, fish hook back, & very lighweight from Forever 21.

This edgy and floral-printed knee length skirt is perfect for the dark & dreamy vibe. This JOA floral sequin body-con skirt has stunning metallic sequins form floral splashes on a sleek chiffon skirt topped with a faux-leather waistband. This piece is from Nordstrom, $98.

This is a perfect example of Dark Romance/fantasy league style: Tight velvet printed flares. Slight stretch with an elasticized waist band. This printed flares are from Free People,$128. We could emphazie these flares with a edgy leather jacket and a big floppy black hat.

I am obsessed with this wardrobe! This maxi lace dress with a high-fronted skirt is from Free People, $108. This Sandcastle in the Sky Maxi has bias cut long sleeve sheer gauze maxi with allover embroidery and chevron crochet lace insert. This piece has v-neck line and low back with tie closure at nape. High front slit, trimmed in crochet lace adds drama.

This Ted Baker London ‘Opulent Bloom’ Crossbody bag is from Nordstrom, $135. This vintage floral print plays up the signature sophistication of a petite handbag suspended from a gold-tone snake-chain strap. I love this combination of hard and Soft.

This Tulip maxi dress from Free People, $228. It is timeless. Boho style semi-sheer maxi dress with embroidered lace and crochet detailling. Scalloped mesh trim on cuff and hem. I love this boho piece. We could emphasize the maxi dress with a pair of western boots and dramatic neck and arm pieces.

We could never go wrong with a knee-high dress, especially with a floral-printed dress. This is nineties-inspired. This Free People Dress Sand Washed Poly Parker has a mini silhouette. We could emphasize the short length with knee-highs socks and a pair of black-studded combat boots. $128

ASTR Mock Neck Long Sleeve Top, $54 is from Nordstrom. An elegant mock neck and back closure embellished with golden buttons enhance a sheer, long-sleeve blouse adorned with a cheerful floral print. Since this blouse is sheer, we could always wear a bralette or a bandeau.

I love wearing nice, interesting looking scarf during the fall, especially when the scarf is vintage-inspired. Scarfs are one of my favorite accessories to wear during the Fall. This flag-printed scarf is from Old Navy, $19.94.
